An architect and urban planner, is Associate Professor of Urban planning theories at the 'Mediterranean' University of Reggio Calabria, Italy, where he has been teaching since 1981. Among other fields of inquiry, his scientific and applied work focuses on interactive planning in its various forms – participation, consultation, negotiation – and on its role in contemporary planning practice.
